Three people have been arrested over the death of a “caring” father in Aberdeen last year.

Police were called to the death of David Prystajko, 44, on Marquis Road on November 22.

On Saturday, officers said two men aged 27 and 32 and a 43-year-old woman had been arrested and charged in connection with his death.

They are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.

In a statement released through Police Scotland, Mr Prystajko’s family said: “David was a deeply loved father, son and brother.

“He was a caring and loving person, and the grief experienced due to this unexpected loss has been unimaginable.

“There has not been a single day that David has been out of our thoughts and he will remain in our hearts forever.

“We continue to wake everyday with horrible thoughts and feelings caused by his loss.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Police Scotland for their dedication in the inquiry and for the support they have provided our family throughout this incredibly traumatic time.

“As we continue to grieve, we kindly ask that our family’s privacy be respected while we allow the legal process to take its course.”

Detective Inspector Andy Machray added: “Incidents of this nature can understandably cause concern for the local community, and we’d like to thank the public for their support during this investigation.”
