Police say their investigations into an incident where a lorry crashed into a house are ongoing, after a group involved in a gang feud appeared to claim responsibility.
A lorry reversed into the front of a house on Brand Drive, Edinburgh, on Tuesday afternoon.
Police sealed off streets in the area as the vehicle was left lodged in the front of the terraced home, which had been caved in by the impact.
On Wednesday, the Daily Record and STV reported that a group called Tamo Junto (TMJ) shared a video clip of the lorry reversing into the house.
The video was accompanied by a message referring to the family member of someone involved in the gang feud.
Tamo Junto has been involved in incidents of arson and gang violence around Scotland’s central belt, which were investigated by police as part of Operation Portaledge.
When asked about the lorry incident, Police Scotland said that “inquiries are ongoing” and officers are keeping an open mind in regards to Operation Portaledge.
The police operation has led to dozens of arrests across Scotland.
