The body of a teenager has been recovered from a loch following a search operation in the Highlands.
The 17-year-old, who is understood to have been kayaking, was reported to be in difficulty in the water at Lochindorb near Grantown-on-Spey on Thursday evening.
Crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were involved in the search.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.25am on Friday May 1, a body was recovered from Lochindorb.
“Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of a 17-year-old male youth reported in difficulty in the water around 5pm on Thursday April 30 are aware.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
