Turkish economy's total turnover rises 3.4% in February
Construction sector posts largest monthly rise with 6%, official data shows
The Turkish economy’s total turnover grew 3.4% month-on-month in February, according to official figures released on Friday.
The figure accelerated from a 1.6% rise in January, Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) data showed.
The construction sector saw the largest monthly rise with 6% in February, followed by trade with 4% and services with 2.4%.
Turnover in the industry sector climbed by 2% from a month ago.
On an annual basis, the total turnover index soared 32% in February compared to 35.7% in January.
